Social Justice

CARAD was founded in 2001 to see every person seeking asylum in Australia treated withh full respect of their human rights.

Collaboration

We are led by our clients needs. We acknowledge that are Federal, State and Local policy changes required to better support our clients and we work towards seeing positive change with like minded organisations.

We work from a strength based approach acknowledging clients resilience, skills and supporting dignity as we assist them through crisis. We greatly respect our volunteers and uphold the National Volunteer Standards.

Flexibility

CARAD is a not for profit that is able to be responsive to the crisis that arises from asylum seekers, refuges and detainees in Western Australia.

CARAD's mission is compassion in action. We believe in taking caring action to see meaningful change in our clients lives.

Independance

CARAD is funded by philanthropic grants and generous donations from individuals from our community. CARAD receives no funding from agencies that would compromise our ability to advocate for people to ensure their rights are upheld.
